I've been having a lazy saturday so decided to have a play around with some fabric and make a little fabric flower brooch.

I've a bag full of fabric scraps so picked out these 2 fabrics which go together quiet well.

And this is the result a cute little flower brooch.

I had a mess around with an online photo editor aswell to make the photos a little more interesting and quiet like the effects!

Faith Hope & Charity Swapping ......

Back in may Lakoto from Faith Hope and Charity Shopping came up with the fab idea to hold a swap which would include something brought from a charity shop.

I was paired up with the lovely Miss Tea (Susan) from Tea~Diary and this morning recieved a package full of the following goodies which i am delighted with ..... Thankyou susan x

First package i opened contained a beautiful little thimble which im sure will get used many times as i do enjoy sewing.

And also a lovely handmade bracelet so so pretty and well done to susan as she has never made jewellery before but i think its fab and very well made.

Susan also sent me these lovely hearts which she decoupaged herself, reminds me i really must have a go as decoupage.

And last but not least these pretty candlestick holders which i love!

Thankyou again susan for the lovely gifts and thankyou to lakota for organising the swap :)

Raggy Heart Wreath

After seeing MissieLizzies Handmade thursday the other week when she made a heart wreath out of ribbon scraps made me think of a good use for the leftover school dress fabric that i had been creating with.

So this morning ive got to work cutting strips up with my pinking shears ........ i now have a lovely blister on my hand to prove ive been working hard!! lol

And then just tied them all onto a heart shape made from gardening wire.

Result..........

Quick tip...... If your pinking shears get blunt just cut up some baking foil its sharpens them up a treat! I had to do this as below is a pic of my pinking shears that i nabbed off my mum and she got them late 70's early 80's lol yay for vintage pinking shears lol

If you would like to have a go at making one of these lovely then head over to Red Ted Art's Blog where theres a guest post on how to make a Rag Heart by Mary Poppins Home Sweet Home
